I am a researcher in Political Theory and Political Economy at Nova University of Lisbon. My work applies evolutionary and economic insights to ethical and political issues.
I explore questions such as whether liberal institutions can endure, how nations emerge, and how moral norms evolve. I also write on how markets, ideologies, and group conflict shape international relations and political life.
I earned my PhD in Politics from King’s College London (2016), an MA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of East Anglia (2011), and a BA in Political Science and International Relations from Nova University of Lisbon (2010).
My teaching experience includes courses in Political Theory, Political Economy, and Bioethics at King’s and Nova.
I aim to integrate philosophy with scientific principles to deepen our understanding of the connections between politics, ethics, economics, and the life sciences.
Beyond academia, I enjoy playing the piano and guitar, and singing with my children.
